So, after a lengthy hiatus from the blogspot, I figured I better throw one out there before the month is over. We got up this morning to the site of lots of ice! The news said that it was the most since 1980 this morning, but that must have been somewhere north of here. For sure, it was icy, but not historically icy. Of course, since this is Texas, schools were out and businesses were closed. Dustin and I got out pretty early so we could enjoy the 19 degree morning and slide around a little. We jogged over to the old Walter Stephenson road past the bypass bridge. We could slide down the road great just standing on our feet! What was really fun was trying to run back up the hill in the clear ice spots-hahaha--we just sort of ran in place. It is good exercise, but don't be in a hurry. Then we took a short cut across the hwy 287 since there were almost no cars, slid on it some, then found some more good ice over by the Temple's old place. What a crack up. I am good at being a kid. I could do it every day. It sucks having to be an adult...
Here is a short video of our first attempt at riding the inflatable sled down the driveway. See you next post : )

What fun! Drew decided to take a bat at to see what he could do to the ice. In the process, he did quite a number to our playscape :-). I can just sigh...
FINALLY!! I've been waiting for a new post. The sledding looks like fun! But not such a big fan of the cold.
Nice to know somebody else is cold besides me...man, I wish you guys were here!! Come visit quick!
